According to the UN program for HIV / AIDS, Peru has managed to reduce deaths by 50%. And the access to retro virals has increased, also the contagion. What is the worst thing about having HIV / AIDS? Maybe not have something like a home to be safe from infections and diseases that are deadly. Maybe have to hide from prejudiced relatives and neighbors. Or not be able to receive the necessary medicines in time. Not knowing that one carries the virus, not knowing how the contagion was. The shelter "Algo Bello para Dios", located in Iquitos, Loreto, be home people with HIV / AIDS, many of them at the terminal stage, who have nowhere to go or who have been evicted in hospitals. They are served by a team of volunteers, who despite not having the necessary financial resources offer them in giving them quality of life. Currently, in Loreto there are 2,530 HIV carriers and 1,003 AIDS patients. It is, after Lima, one of the regions with the highest incidence of cases. Places like the shelter "Algo Bello para Dios" helps, sometimes, as last hope. Iquitos, Loreto, Peru, September 2012.
