On January 15, 2015, more than 20,000 youths, including social organizations, students groups, neighborhood, human, rights, and cultural organizations such as the Bloque Hip Hop., protested against the controversial new youth labor law, also calls “Ley Pulpín”. Meanwhile, the government remained firm in favor of labor reform, considering that it will help reduce informality, but it cuts labor benefits to young people between 18 and 24 years. After more than five violent protests in Lima and in the main cities of Peru, on January 26, the Congress of Peru repealed the controversial law.
